I trying to dial in my shocks for the track but I cant seem to get them to work properly. What are the right steps to take when setting up your suspension? Shock oil first then ride height then spring rates? I m just unsure of how to setup the ride height. Do you use different spring rates to get it to sit right or do you use pre-load? Any help would be great thanks!

Ride height
Increase spring pre-load to raise height, take away to lower
If you want higher spring rate, raise or lower the pre-load to get the height you had previously

Vertical Shock angle is for jumping big jumps, more angled shocks are for aggressive tight tracks.

It's a combination of springs and pre-load spacers. Get the springs you think you will use first, then add pre-load spacers.
Put in the springs only then drop the car from about a foot above the ground. If you want "bones level" at the back, add spacers and repeat the process until the bones are level when the car settles.
Make sure it's at race weight first, i.e. motor, radio gear, battery all installed.
If you decide to change springs after a shake-down run,go through the whole process again, as it will settle at different height depending on spring tension.

pick springs before everything else. Set them up so that you can get good rear traction w/out flying wheelies the whole time. Then set the shock oil so that when you land you aren't blowing out the bottom of your car. Then dial in the positions of everything to suit your driving needs.
