Awesome charger. I don't find it very attractive though. Wish Upgrade would make a skin for it. Thinking of dying the plastic black and having the metal plates powder coated

If you already have a decent power supply, spend a few more bucks and get the 610Iduo, since getting mine, charging those batteries for the Robitronics BR50 conversion to electric, only takes minutes for those Lipos, and it makes them charged as one in the "sync" mode!!

Ok I am going to order today, My question is should I get a 610 duo or 2 610's.... Only thing that throws me off is the wattage. 2 regular ones linked can do 500 watts whereas the duo does 360.

It's the same price so which way should I go and what does the wattage indicate?

Do you really need 500watts of charging power? I have the DUO charger, and I can charge 2 5000mah packs at 2C each (10a/ea), with NO problems.

I have the Duo II and a 25A Radio shack power supply

I charge 2 5000mah 4 cell packs at once.
It works good. The charger has to step up the voltage for a 4 cell pack. (14.8)
So the charger is charging at about 16.5v and 5A on both sides at once.
No problems here.
The each their own.

Sorry, must have missed that one. It just means you can charge at a higher Amp rate. Which unless your charging 6S at 2C, you wouldn't need more.

Marketing is a wonderful thing. The Hyperion's are the best, but if you've got the dosh get the Duo II. I've got a 610i and a 610i DUO so I can charge three batteries at the same time. The 180 watts per port on the DUO is more than enough.. Do the math.. 180w = 7.4V x 24A, you show me a single lipo on the market that can take 24A. With 180W you could feasible charge a 5S lipo up to 10 AMPS, again, not going to happen, at least not for a long time. Sure you could in theory do more with 250Watts, but that is unrealistic.

I opted to buy a 2nd 0610i cause of their power, but I'm running a123s that do charge at 10amps. A pr of networked 6S a123s is 21.6v x10amps = 216watts.

If I had more a123 cells, I'd be trying 7S a123s (25.2v).
