Traxxas VXl planetary gears
I keep breaking planetary gears in my stampede vxl tranny. i have my slipper adjusted correctly(almost too loose) and it still breaks after about 15 runs. right now its making the same clicking noise it did before it broke but still has full traction and everything. i wanna get some titanium planetary gears. will that solve the problem? thanks!
also, when i jump it, i lock the rear tires up by applying the brake to level it out...after continuous times of doing that, would that cause premature wear and inevitabely break the planetary gears?

actually i fixed it, you wont believe it but that cap that holds everything together was positioned wrong. theres those 4 studs that sit in there with the gears and 2 have more length and the other 2 are shorter. the cap has to sit on there a certain way. regardless of the little nipples that make it align, there still is that possiblity of it being put together incorrectly, which is what was wrong in my case. problem solved. and yes, i used grease, synthetic stuff i squeezed onto some cardboard from work.
