Default What radio to buy?

I am thinking of upgrading my Spectrum DX2 radio to something better. should I stick with Spectrum or should I give something like Futaba or Airtronics a try. I want a 2.4 system and I will be using the radio in a 1/10 electric and 1/8 nitro, both are off road. Just looking for some input and past experince with these system. Thanks

I would get this or a M11. This is my picks in order.

M11
dx3r
KO helios

The DX3s is not on par with the R it seems better on paper but for racing the dx3r is the deal.

M11 hands down--I have owned most of the pro radios and the m11 gives you more control over the car.

I personally like the DX3R. It is nice and light and only runs on 4 AAs. It has a 30 model memory to save different profiles for different tracks and the receivers are nice and small. The only down side to the receivers is you have to use a bind plug to rebind the unit.

I also have a DX2.0.

When I'm ready to upgrade, I'm going to go with either a Futaba 3PK or 4PK.

DX3S comes with 2 Rx's for about 240$

Same 4 AA's and light like the DX3R. I have one as I got a killer deal over the DX3S a while back, and works just fine.

Go to a Hobby shop, and pick each up and play with them a bit. Have them put batteries so you can get a idea of the weight as well.

I'm just curious if the average driver can tell the difference between a DSM to DSM2 latency?

Hmm....as my Kids have the DSM RTR's in the slashes. and I got a DX3S.....I guess I'll try NOT to test one out yet. I'm happy with the current radios, I'll just want to upgrade after that.
