Questions?? buy: Tamiya DF-03 MS complete setup

Hello everyone,

This is my first time here, and I'm a total newbie to the rc car world. I want to buy a Tamiya DF-03 MS, because it has several hop-ups which I guess will do better in the long run, since I want it just for bashing. I don't know any other guys around here who are into rc cars, nor do I know of a club yet.

I would like to buy this car, and all needed accessories (except for a charger, which I already own), for a seamless build, no hassles with modifying the chassis, or anything like that, I don't want to mess up anything. Also, I would like to have all parts in one shipment, since I will be buying this online.

From what I understand, the car will require quite a bunch of stuff: motor, esc, tires, radio, servos, batteries, etc. TowerHobbies has a kit with a motor already in there, but I was thinking of brushless.

My target price is around 450usd (this is quite expensive for me, I will have to add to that shipping and other taxes ~25%).

Does any of you have such a list (that they bought, or know it will work) ?

Thanks in advance,
Cosmin

cosminb,

come join us in our DF-03 thread:

http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...f-03-type.html

If you start from the beginning, it starts with me asking about this car, very much like yourself, and then eventually buying this kit (the MS kit) with a list of stuff i later ordered to hop it up.

Come join us, many of your questions can be answered there, such as what upgrades to buy, setup, which hobby shops you can find parts, etc...
