Default stampede upgrade advise/tips

i hav a traxas stampede right now it has a tamiya ESC TEU-101BK and a taitan t12 550 motor (off an e-maxx) im running a dynamite 200 batt n a venom 1800 batt both 6-cell NiMH oh yeah and 4 some odd reason im running vxl rustler tires n rims dont know why but imigetting vxl stampede's this weekend!! what is the best way to max speed it w/o taking a chunk out of my wallet?? anyone can help im in miami florida more tward the homestead area if u can text me @ 786 385 5980 thanks

could try gearing to speed it up but id fix the weak links first such as:

output yokes
front tower flex
front suspension fibre bar
RPM suspension arms
Bigbearing hubs

what i also did on my stampede was remove all the grey upper plastic turnbuckles and made custom ones with 3mm threadrod, alloy tubing and nuts to back em off.

just a few ideas....
