Solid diff in 2wheel drive truck. Advantages/disadvantages

Anyone know why you would want to run a solid diff or spool in a 2wheel drive truck? thanks

On the speed t, there was a diff locker. As a result, it is good for onroad going 65mph so it wont flip over, but on a track steering suffers alot.

Good for high speed concrete runs. Terrible if you expect to turn without whipping the rear end out from under you on dirt.

you don't want a locked diff ever, but in high bite you want it super fast & in low bite you want it super slow. Normally in high bite I put wd-40 on my thrust bearings & it makes the diff super fast. Then on low bite I use white grease & it slows it way down.
