Questions?? Is this a problem?? Help a Newbie

Hi guys

I am new to this hobby and I just got a refurb RC18MT for my son for his b day. Out of the box the RC kind of jumps. It doesn't really move but it just makes the sound like it is gonna start kind of like a off/on even though I am not giving it any juice on the radio. Like an occasional click maybe.

Could this just be interference from another signal or something?? How do I know if I need to send this back, his B-Day is one week away so I would rather not do that.

Maybe there is a test or should I reset the ESC like the book decsribes?

Thanks

Try adjusting the throttle trim.

I don't know what your radio looks like but I am just thinking of most radios. There should be two smaller knobs, one labeled throttle and one labeled steering. Adjust the throttle back till the noise stops.
