Default Slash battery

Hey Guys.

I was thinking of buying an Orion 7 Cell 8.4V 4500mAh Stick Pack w/Trx Plug NiMH for my Slash.

Do you think this would be a good battery? If you have any similar recommendations, please let me know.

Thanks,

I've heard that's a decent setup. I've got the 7 cell from Cheapbatterypacks and it works wonders in my Slash. Less expensive as well (depends on where you get it).

Checkout the requirements for your local track as well. I bought 7 cells only to find that the class here only allows 6 cell or LiPo.

I've only run lipos in my Slash and I highly recommend them. Consistent power until the end and they seem to last longer.

My trucks is considerably faster (on track) with a 2 cell lipo than with a 7 cell NiMH pack. Go lipo. You won't regret it.

Nearly all the Slash racers at my local track are running 2s lipo's, with great results. I can get a little 15-20 minutes out of a SMC 5200mah lipo with very little power loss. I set my timer for 15mins. so I never run much longer than that.
