Slash Replacement Tires (RC4WD)
Here are a couple Slash tire renderings from RC4WD. www.rc4wd.com
We are looking for some feedback on these two tire choices.
sl22-f
sl22-r
Questions are
1. Tire height? Same or taller?
2. Any changes needed?
3. Which one would you like to see made first?
Please let me know your thoughts on these tires. If there is a better place here on RCtech to post this thread, let me know.
If there is another forum we should post this on to get more feedback, please post here.
Thanks

Are these intended to be mounted on standard 2.2 rims? Or the beadlocks? If there are going to be mounted on the current slash rims they need to have a different diameter bead on the inside, and that could mean two molds if the tires are directional (though they don't look that way).

Slash wheels. The renderings are for you to view. RC4WD will make the changes when they produce them.

You will probably get more bites posting in the "slash setups thread". It is very active and i'm sure you will get feedback there http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...-truck-96.html

They do look very realistic, if they come out that nice they will look sharp. I don't think they should be any taller than stock, because the stock tires already rub on the body. If they are better balance then the stock tires that would be nice. I do think you need to look at making the ones to fit the slayer style rims that are coming on the newer slashs.

defintly make them 2.2/3.0 so we can use the stock rims
the proline slayer tires will fit on the stock rims, but they do make beadlocks for the slash (2.2/2.2) and the slayer (2.2/3.0)

I like the new wheels you are offering. The second one has the Goodyear / Maxxis tread sidewall look.. nice touch.
If you want to sell a bunch of them, do a BFGoodrich BAJA TA copy with the triplesidewall. It will def. appeal to the scale enthusiast. Most of the slash guys I race with race real off road cars, so we are anxious to see what you come up with.
