Advice Please

Just finished my RC8 Conversion to brushless, I have a picture posted an another thread. Need to get a 4s lipo.

What should I buy, I prefer quality over price. Seems silly to run two 7.4 volt packs, once you buy two, its the same price as one 4s pack. So give me your advice.

Thanks!!

what about these batteries.

http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/?si...owlipos&sale=Y

the 5000MAh 35C elite pack is 176$. Good Price.

Are these generally considered good packs? Or I can get a MaxAmps 5250 4s for about 215$.

Thanks

I'm actually in the same boat as you are here; I'm getting ready to start a D8 conversion this week, and I'm trying to decide between the two packs that you've listed below. Right now I'm leaning towards the maxamps as I've been using their 7.4 6000s and have been very happy with them in my 1/10 scales; but the elite is definately an interesting option.

Yes I agree with you fully. I too own a 6000Mah 7.4 lipo from maxamps. I like that they sent me a hand written thank you, I like that they offer me a 10% discount on my next purchase, and I have been happy with their product. BUT, if the other pack I listed is just as good, i cant justify spending 40$ more....:confused:

I'm right there with both of you guys. I'm converting my Hyper 7 to electric and I've been contemplating the Elites from cbps for some time. I do have quite a few of their NiMh batteries and I have no problems w/ them so I'm leaning towards their lipos too. Although I personally am gonna buy a few 2s packs and double them up on my buggy. Just for the plain fact that at least I can also use them one at a time on my TC. Rather than buy a few 2s for my TC and a few 4-5s for my buggy I figure I'll just double up two 2s packs when I'm running my Hyper.

yes i too thought of getting two 7.4 volt packs but since I already have one and I get about 40 minutes of run time, I could get a dedicated 4s for the 1/8th scale. Either way,

ANYONE have experience with the elite batters from cheap batteries .com?

how doesthe quality compare with maxAmps??

Thanks

If price is an issue check out www.hobbyking.com . They have an 11.1 5000 for around $43.00 (flightmax) . These seem to be a pretty good battery as long as you dont get the hard case model. Biggest downfall is the 20 day ship time from Hong Kong!
