Take a look at the Team Orion 1409 servo. The 14kg number is a little over 200 oz/in of torque.

Hi-Tec has a thread on here. It's in the Comany/Manufacturer forums. Very top of the forums. You can ask them. I'm shear they be happy to help you out on putting a good steering servo in your 1/8 buggy.

I use jr z9000s for buggies. Its super fast at .06/60 degrees @ 6V and has 128 ounce/inches of torque to get those wheels cranked. Its expensive at around $120 but if your serious about racing this servo is perfect for a 1/8th scale buggy.

I haven't tried Hitec, but I have tried many others, and the best one I have tried so far is the ACE 1015. Water resistant, fast and alot of torque. It's specs are under rated, it's faster and more powerful then the specs suggest, and it's digital. It's less money as well then a similar speced Futaba or Sanwa.

I have this servo too. It's a re-branded AE XP servo. It kicks ass and I know people who use it in Truggys too. Usually you can get one for $95 max. Awesome servo.

The JR 9100s is very popular too. I know a lot of people who use it in their truggys with no problem so it would be fine in a buggy too.

Is the Ace similar to the AE DS1015?

Yes I have and do use the HiTecs,5955 and 7955. Bullet proof and GREAT customer service. Best bang for the buck and they can be run direct with lipo's (7.4volts) with no regulator or problems.

Yes they are the same, they have a 1015 and a 1313.
I use the 15 for steering and the 13 for throttle. I have been pleased with the performance and price.

Is the DS1015 strong enough for a steering servo for a revo too?
