Default My RC8e

RC8
RC-Monster RC8 chassis

Castle Creations Mamba Monster Max / 2650 Kv combo
JR 8711 Servo
SR 3500 RX
Polyquest 5000 mah 4 cell lipo
Proline Badlands

This is my 3rd conversion using RC-Monster parts and as always I am 100 % satisfied with the parts.

The tare down.

It only took me 45 minutes to do the parts swap. All the parts fit like a glove.

I am waiting for the battery and servo to finish the build, then time for some video.

rcmonster makes some great stuff. You should be very happy with them. Just saw this same post on there a couple minutes ago too. I hope they start to make more complete chassis like this one.

I had the badlands on my RC8, but forgot to take them off when I dropped my 6s pack in last night to show my buddy how fast it is with the 6s pack I just got...blew the inserts out of all 4 tires. DOH! I'm running the 2200kv motor. On 4s watch the tire growth with the 2650...it's still going to be huge. Might think about going with a harder insert than stock, and duct tape around the foam if you're just going to bash.

Will do.

I got the buggy all finished up and everything laid out where it needs to be. I just wished I had more room to mount the esc on the chassis. I am still waiting for the battery to come in the mail and I need to paint the body.

Chip,

Will your esc sit behind the battery?

Also, Do you know if the front RCM brace will work with other popular aluminum top braces for the rc8?

BTW, awesome looking rc8.

Thanks

I think the esc will set behind the battery. I didn't really try it. I can't see why the RCM brace will not work with other alum. top braces for the RC8 but I am not 100 % sure.
