Default Gear Mesh?

I have a traxxas slash and there is a tick coming from the tranny when you hit the brakes or start from a stop. Or go reverse. It does it whenever it has to change directions.

I know its not the spur gear or spur gear mesh because a bought a new one and adjusting it doesnt help.

any help would be great thanks!

My Slash does the same, but I believe it is normal, as it is probably just the combined slop of all the parts, but if that is the only time it happens and it isn't too loud, you are fine.

its mostly your outdrives and dogbones when you hit the gas and the play between gears.

i just tightened the slipper down all the way and it stopped making the noise. I dont know why that would be. And dont worry i put back to a half turn. but it did start doing it again. And it seemed the more you loosened the slipper the louder the noise became.

Any Guesses?

Maybe the slipper pegs breaking their grip on the slipper plates as it first starts to slip?
