Its hard to tell with the extream lack of good info but in the super small pics it does look like a B4. Besides if it was an X-6 Chaz would be all over everywhere proclaiming the massive victory!

LOL. No, I don't think so. We're pretty sure Martin had a B4. If he did use an X - 6, yes, we'd mention it, but that's about all. Would be hypocritical to try making a big deal out of it.

Default A Small Problem

A Family member called Bigfoot has found a small problem: the last time I made up bag C, for both the 6 Squared and the 60, I had a major brain fade and forgot to include the little bag of anti-squat shims. Our thanks to Bigfoot for locating the problem and bringing it to our attention. All Kits shipped since Wednesday are correct.

If you have purchased either Kit from us in the last month or so and your anti-squat shims are missing, please E-mail chazz@4wdrc.com and we'll get a bag of shims in the mail to you immediately. Make sure you put your name and address in the E-mail as often it's hard to tell who you are just from your E-mail addy.

If you purchased a Kit from a Dealer that is missing the shims, please E-mail us directly to get your shims. We actually prefer that you go to your Dealer, and if he does stock the shims he should give them to you and we will replace them for him at no charge. However, the shims are not a part most dealers carry and in that case it will be easier for all if you deal straight with us.

This should not be a major problem for most Family members. If you run zero shims obviously it's no problem. But the AE suspension shims that go in hinge pins and under ball studs are .030" and work perfectly for anti-squat, so you can use them while you are waiting for ours. It won't take long, even overseas, as we'll ship first class mail. Shouldn't have to go through customs and probably will be no duty.

We regret this error, and thanks again to Bigfoot for his patience while we were moving.

I am not really sure what a PM is. I think I may have replied to one or two over the years when I can get Paul or my wife to show it to me.

I check the E-mail addy chazz@4wdrc.com several times each week.

According to Paul the Torx screws are backordered and they are trying to source a new supplier. As for the Lipos you can run just about anything from 3200-5000s all up to you and the demands of your motor. Usually a 3800-4200 will be a good balance between weight and capacity.

You guys noticed you have to run a lot of drag brake to get the weight to transfer to the front? I'm running Kinwald's hot rod setup, and had to get a lot of drag brake in the car to get the weight to come forward when turning in and through the middle. I thought about putting 30 wt. in the front, and go to 3b pistons all the way around to get it to transfer weight more. Also thought about putting an ounce of weight around the servo to help. Any suggestions or comments? Anything in particular you guys try first in a situation like that?

MiniT - what kind of a surface are you running on? HRH is more of a particular setup/track that requires some tuning things that most tracks wouldn't. Most tracks, besides blue groove tracks, I run the standard setup and sometimes make changes to kill weight transfer.

Only reason I went with the HRH setup is that most of the guys that race at our track (associated guys) run the HRH setups on their cars. Its a damp track, we run anything from double dee's full, to ghosted double dee's, sometimes towards the end of a layout we get to full slicks when the track is really damp.
