Thanks for your interest! Spare parts availability for the XX4 seems to be as strong as ever; we carry all the Losi parts that fit the X - 5 and have no problems getting parts from Horizon. We put a few parts on backorder now and then, but that has more to do with our stock levels and ordering schedule than any problems from Horizon.

There is some truth to that; I've been working hard behind the scenes as Team Manager to build up the US team and start getting more support out there for the US family members. We're finalizing a number of things at the moment, so keep your eye on the websites for some exciting announcements

I guess what I'm trying to say is, it seems like x-factory knows what they are doing, so why not design and build everything and sell complete kits?
I race in Tucson and I love the way the x-factory stuff looks out there, but the fact that I would have to buy a B4, a T4, and then the two conversions keeps me in my XXX-T and XXX.
I'd imagine there are others out there like me.

Our goal is and has been to make our own complete kits, however its a matter of capital - we just haven't had the resources to make the whole car yet. Drawing up parts/designing the cars in CAD is relatively cheap; finding the $$ to actually make and produce the parts is the limitation. There's also the matter of distribution - when we started we knew the family would only be able to source X Factory parts through the web, so we tried to make it so the commonly broken/worn parts would be on hobby shop walls (probably the best example of this is when we used the XXXS sedan belt in the X - 5). Now that we're starting to build our distribution network and grow as a company, we're starting to make more and more of the cars ourselves.
As for releasing an entire kit of our current vehicles, we've priced it out a few times - including entering talks with AE and Horizon to purchase parts OEM - and its just not feasible. We're continuing to evaluate our options and try to find alternative avenues, so we'll have to see what comes in the future.
