So far, only US that allows lipo for competitive racing. EFRA, FEMCA and the rest allows lipo for club practices but not racing. I don't know what's the hold up is considering that Lipo and brushless combination started outside US...

The EFRA allows Lipo for (electric off-road) racing in 2009!

Losi helped pay the way (along with other sponsor Novak) for Mike Truhe and Billy Fischer to attend the 2007 IFMAR electric worlds in Japan.

Losi has its roots in 1/10 scale electric. More recently they have branched out to different r/c markets (1/8 scale, RTR, etc.) They are producing cars that consumers want and i'm sure the sales reflect that. Losi certainly has not forgotten about electric racing. In fact they have begun producing a number of products under the Losi name that are specifically geared toward electric racers. These include the Losi Xcelorin brushless speed controls and motors as well as the Losi LiPo batteries.

Not true !!
A good few years back id say yes but crime is a fact of life anywhere in the world.

Look at the 2006 1/8 offroad worlds, lots of guys from the US and Europe where scared to go due to terrorism, it turned out to be one of if not teh best Worlds they had attended and better than the event hosted in the US last year.
The venue for the worlds is located in a good area so doubt its a issue although there will be security etc.. in place.
You cant get lost or confused since we speak english too

More info will be posted shortly on www.trap.co.za or http://www.offroadepworlds09.co.za

They did not "foot" their own bill...losi / novak sent Billy Fischer and Mike Truhe. That was it as far as U.S drivers goes...as far as drivers from other countries go i am not sure

vote for a relative 'unknown', at least to US drivers. 1 that will have the car set to the track on just another level from any1 else.
