The JMRCA All Japan electric offroad championship was decided at the world famous Yatabe Arena indoor track (with retractable roof!).

The most succesful Japanse driver, Masami Hirosaka, was not racing this year. First the 2wd qualifying was run followed by 4wd qualifying and then the finals in both classes on Sunday.

The race was a big success for Yokomo team driver Hiroshi Suzuki who won both classes. In 2wd he dominated with his Associated B4 buggy while in 4wd he won with his Yokomo MR4BC Special. -

Looks like the A team is on fire!!!

TexRacer 10-19-2003 08:20 AM

Dont mean to Break Any AE hearts and Im a HUGE fan.But you might wanna thank Jason Ruona for that win.Ask about what happened in 2 mains when Jason ran OVER brian.I love that Billy Won I just wish it would have been some cleaner racing.

STEALTH 10-19-2003 08:49 AM

According to the Team Orion site that has been posting updates and results of the World's all week, Jason Ruona did get in two bumps but it was with Jukka Steenari and NOT Kinwald. Easton won it without any help. No one was ever in front of him in both A-main races. Basically, Brian and Team Losi just swallowed and ate Easton's and his B4's dust.....Plain and Simpe. No Broken AE Heart Here Bro! ;)

Racer_Chick 10-19-2003 08:59 AM

Don't want to start any crap, but it was clean racing. I was there and I watched all of the mains. There was some really good racing going on out there, and almost all of it was clean with few wrecks. Maybe you should do what IFMAR did for 4wd and review the tapes. lol.

Stealth you read right but there was also some other problems.Being you werent there you might wanna reserve comment over something you just READ and didnt SEE.If you were there Racer-Chick then you had to see some of it.Im not saying Billy didnt deserve it but when the front of the pack has that bad of a pileup TWICE it's just uncool.Expecially when coming from the SAME GUY.Billy is a hell of a driver and the B4 did well in his hands. But guys I dont know if you can count ,but there were 6 of the 10 cars being losi.So whats better? The car or the driver.Thats the point im trying to make cause I HATE POST LIKE THIS.lol.Their useless to everyday driver's.I love my B4 but in all honesty I hate the car in mod on most tracks. Not as stable, nor as consistant as my losi. But with every chassis it depends on it's characteristics and the driver driving it.But to say the B4 won this race is a HUGE JOKE.Billy won the race. Now if this thread said BILLY EASTON one of the BEST drivers in the world and PROVED it this year then cool but to start a CAR MANUFACTURE WAR over this is absurd and cause some people to say stupid things. The point im making now is whats better.A single guy thats fast with whatever's in his wins the race or 6 of 10 guys in the A were driving Losi's.I mean be happy the car you run or the company you respect won but PLEASE STOP with these car wars when most of the people posting have NO CLUE or experience with BOTH cars.Just cracks me up.
Congrads Billy with your win of the WORLDS while driving a B4

mike_Webb 10-19-2003 02:11 PM

Well..considering Billy TQ'ed and Won then credit should be given to Him and the B4. Seeing that there were 6 Losi's in the main then it would seem to me that they would have had a better chance. Also seeing that 3 of the 4 are in the Top 5 shows that teh B4 is a very capable car in the right hands.

Remember...what wins on Sunday sells on Monday....

Peter Busch 10-19-2003 03:03 PM

Any way you look at it Billy won it no matter what it said, pile ups or not, thats racing. What are they suppose to do, keep restarting the race untill everyone gets a clean run in.

Smokinjoe6450 10-19-2003 03:07 PM

Not starting a war here but.......IFMAR ruled by LOSI.......

Congratulations to the 100 best off road drivers in the WORLD. After 1 week of racing there are two champions Billy Easton 2wd and Ryan Cavilieri 4wd. Everyone of those drivers tried their best,to make it to the top, they all should be commended for a great race effort. Also thanks to AE, LOSI, NOVAK, LRP, REEDY, ORION, PEAK, DURANGO, KYOSHO, TRINITY, and all the rest of the companys that help bring the worlds to Largo, Fl. this year. Would also like to thank MINNREG for hosting an excellent event.Their track crew worked all week to try and give all the racers a decent place to race. Yes we live here and did spend a lot of time at the races.( TEX )Racer Chick was not only at the races, she was a car owner,(AE B4) run by a friend who was invited to race. She also was on Minnreg's tech crew. And when she wasn't busy she took pictures of everything she could. Maybe you had your picture taken by her??

thats just awesome....

TexRacer.....

I'm sorry, but that was one of the most rediculous posts I've seen in a while.

Not everybody has to be at that race in order to know what went on or what happened. The results speak for themselves. Besides, there's plenty of information posted on the internet to find out what happened.

If you want to blame pileups in the first turn for Billy winning, well, he still had to qualify in THAT TQ position in order to take advantage of it, and he DID. That's the whole purpose of trying to qualify your best, so you can get a better spot further up so you don't have to go around so many people.

Just too bad the B4 just didn't work for you. Maybe the circumstances were wrong and you didn't have any help trying to get yuor car setup like you want it? Just not right to bash the car when so many other success stories with the B4 are starting to pop up and you didn't fare so well.....maybe it just didn't suit your driving style. Nobody said you HAD to drive a B4.

Can you tell me that if Losi had won the world championship that they wouldn't have losi backers posting threads which tell everybody, hey, we won!? Of course they would! The guys here that like AE's cars are simply backing their favorite, and there's no sense in you coming in here trying to throw a monkey wrench into all the fun. AE deserves this win, so let them celebrate....it's THEIR turn...Losi's had their share for the last 3-4 years. You honestly didn't think Losi was going to win every race from now on did you?

Like spongebob said, maybe the Losi guys should protest every round of mains if there was a pileup to get a restart....only if there's an AE out front that didn't get caught in the pileup. Give me a break.

Anywayz.....congrats to Billy Easton for kicking major butt, and congrats TO THE ASSOCIATED B4 FOR GETTING BILLY THAT WIN.

Just so you're clear on what happened, nobody touched Brian. Brian got away clean at the start of all three mains (behind Billy in the first two). Billy simply pulled away from the entire field. I was there. I was even turn marshalling for the second main.
