Default Trinity 4500 lipo cutting out?

I have a Trinity 4500 lipo with the low voltage cutoff built in. When I use the battery with ANY brushed motor setup it cuts off at even the slightest hit of throttle. I can plug a brushless setup with a 5.5 into it and it works fine.

The pack is not very old, and was fully charged.

Anyone have any ideas?

You might want to do a search in the electric on road section, Iremember reading a thread in there a while back where guys were having the same sort of issues out of them.

at the track yesterday a friend of mine had a problem with his too. every time he hit a wall it just died. unplug it, it works, hit another wall...you get the point.

That is a known issue with the Trinity batteries. All the guys at my track opened up the case and bypassed the cutoff circuit. The batteries work great after you do that.

Well, I didn't want to bypass the cutoff because this is for my 6 year old son and he likes to run a pack until the car won't move anymore......

Maybe I should switch him over to brushless too, but I was hoping he could use up all of my old brushed stuff.

Thanks for the replys.
