Not to happy at the moment have had two Tekin 1900kv T8 motors seize up on me this week one at practice and one during a race. Both motors are not very old and never over heated at all? Anyone have any ideas why they seized up?

I disassemble and clean my T8 motors several times throughout the year. Tekin has a YouTube video on how to do it. It's very easy and I think it helps to prolong bearing life. I just sold my original T8 1900 motor from 3 years ago and it's still on the original bearings. I also keep a set of T8 replacement bearings in my parts box in case one seizes during a race day. It takes 5 minutes to replace them and a very cheap fix.

Thanks man, so it would deffinitly be the bearings nothing else? As I would rather pull the motor apart and put bocas in myself if I know its only the bearings as im from overseas and shipping back to Tekin is costly

Have you got a part number for the replacement boca bearings and Tekin bearings please?

Does anyone know when the rx8 will be available? They've been out of stock everywhere for what seems like the better part of 2 months. My LHS owner couldn't locate any and since I was dying to run my eb48, he suggested I try the lrp ix8. He told me if I didn't like it, he would take it back and give me an rx8 when they come in. Anyway, I raced my buggy for the second time yesterday and the pos ix8 took a crap already. It just cuts out every 10ft. So now I'm just waiting on the rx8's to be available. A couple people at the track said the hold up is due to the fact that the new generation rx8's are coming out. Does anyone know if that's true?

According to G.P. mid-late May , but previously said April so who knows for sure . Was told the delay is from the Chinese New Year as they shut down for a month .

Anyway , if you want a RX8 PM me .

Letting the motor run with a bad bearing can cause big time vibrations.

What car? Battery? and gearing?

Wrong gearing/battery/motor setup can also cause these failures.

Yep you can use it on any receiver. I usually just solder up my own, they aren't too hard to build if you've got a receiver plug you can use.
