Default RX8 and seperate powered fan

I'm running RX8/T8 1700kV combo on 5S.
I would like to power the RX8 fan and another fan onto the motor continuously from the receiver (Spektrum). Can I use one of the slots on the receiver to power both fan's (5V - 100 mA each) ? Is the BEC of the RX8 capable of doing this without harm ? maybe Randy or Ty can chime in on this. Thx, Serge.

Shouldn't be a problem... the 6.0 volts and 5 amps (holy crap!) BEC is a power monster

The rx shouldn't have too much trouble handling the load, either...

So if that wasn't acceptable I said you could send it in for us to replace the case.

Changing the case out would be the quickest and shouldn't be an issue for someone with your capabilities...
You wanted to check if you can send me a completely new ESC while I send you this one back. Did you forget this email ?

Sorry Randy but these figures does not say me anything unless you give information about the capacity of the packs you are talking about... It's the combination (C-rating x the capacity) of the pack that is interesting. Do you refer to the commonly used 5000 mAh batteries?

Where in there does it say he would check to see if they could send you a new ESC? I've heard of reading between the lines before but that is incredible.

Just call Ty at Tekin, here's the phone number:
208 634-5559

Just in case you don't have any other contact information here it is:

tech support: support [at] teamtekin [dot] com
Phone: 208 634-5559

President
Jim Campbell: president [at] teamtekin [dot] com
Phone: 208 634-5559

Team Manager Randy Pike: rpike [at] teamtekin [dot] com
Phone: 916 990-8315

Quite frankly, I would take a little dab of RTV smear it in the crack while I waited for a new case, it isn't that big of a deal.

I have done it with no problem... Fans are typically low power. You should be fine.. I believe servos consume A LOT more power than the fans...

The solder tabs "could" be used with 4mm connectors on them but I wouldn't reccomend it. I wouldn't take the risk of an uneccessary connection.

My 80$ zippy's have been great so far....IMO the expensive cells are a waste of $$.....after all they do come from the same darn factory.

My $80 zippy pack works pretty good too but nothing like my 40c thunder power. Is the price differnce worth it? Probably not. Is it faster? He'll yes.

I think I'm pulling less mah per minute with the 40c battery too.

they are smaller than that. I have some 2mm and 2-56 and the case screws are smaller. I think 1-64 or 1-72, I just don't want to crack the post.
