This may seem like a dumb question but which way around does the fan go? Sticker up or down? The manual indicates that the fan is pre-installed so that wasn't any help.

Install the fan with the sticker down.

Oh yeah, and I agree that 20C is more than sufficient. These systems are very efficient.
I am new to lipo's.Can I run a 20c 4s on a Tekin 2050 combo Losi 8B or should I go higher?What does tekin advise?I was thinking I would need a 25 or 30c?

For fine tuning, yes it is a must. For setting custom low voltage cutoffs, yes it is a must. For playing around with stuff you probably shouldn't mess with, yes it is a must!

It depends on what mah rating the battery is. The mah x c rating is the power output of the battery. Let's say the battery is a 5000mah 20C it will put out 100amps. 25C is 125amps. 6000mah x 20C is 120amps... get the idea? I haven't heard the amp draw of these motors so I can't say what they require. Maybe Randy or Ty can help with that.

I was going to run a 4s 5000 mah which would be 100 amps,I would also like to know what the output of the motor is as well and what they reccomend.

The burst rates are more important really. If you are pulling 100 amps all the time, a 5000mah pack would be dead in 3 min. The higher constant C rated batteries help keep batt temps low and that improves efficiency. But a higher burst rate prevents damaging the pack or starving the ESC of amps and hurting your performance.

Question...

Are the solder tabs on the motor far enough apart to use the male 6.5mm bullets soldered straight to them? If not how about the 5mm bullets? I would prefer the 6.5mm. If not I suppose a short piece of wire could be used to attach them.

I've tested with low c packs like 20c. I reccomend at least 25c or higher. You get what you pay for with batteries now a days so make sure it's a good pack.

The solder tabs "could" be used with 4mm connectors on them but I wouldn't reccomend it. I wouldn't take the risk of an uneccessary connection.

5s 35c 5000mah lipo

It says it should have a top speed of around 45mph (18T CB works out to just over 47mph).

I'm trying to find a fitting that will run well and be just a little faster then the nitros.

Kind of an off topic, will these servos be good enough?

Hitec HS-5645MG for the steering
Hitec HS-5625MG for the brakes

If so will the RX8's BEC be able to handle them or would it be better to get a separate BEC?
Sorry I meant the 2250kv Truggy system. The quoted post should have looked like this.

Narrow 2-speed gear set
36T spur gear
17T clutch bell
2250KV Truggy RX8 system
5s 35c 5000mah lipo

The speed calculator says it should have a top speed of around 46mph (18T CB works out to just over 48.7mph).

Kind of an off topic will these servos be good enough?

Hitec HS-5645MG for the steering
Hitec HS-5625MG for the brakes

If so will the RX8's BEC be able to handle them or would it be better to get a separate BEC?

If any one knows if the above setup is OK it would be a great help.
