Juall-

I would get a 4S 5000 pack if you already have the 1900kv motor. What brand battery you get is up to you and your wallet.

that was my battery of choice. the tekno manual was really leaning toward running the 5s with the 1900, but the 4 sounds like the way to go

Also, the rotor shaft seems a tad short for my 8ight-E. Is anyone having any issues with this. I am not too worried about it. But, I'd like it to be longer. I'm just curious if it's normal.

Last, I ended up getting a 2050kv. I wanted the 1900kv but I got a good deal on this one. I'm looking for a good starting setup for the ESC.

Any help would be appreciated!

thanks,
Ben
Any help? What kind of BEC are people running. I used a novak on my crawler with great success. I was wondering if I could use the Losi voltage regulator. It's basically a BEC...

I think someone asked this a few pages back but got no answer.
I am looking to buy (go brushless)this week and was sold on the Tekin setup until I read about the rotor failure problem. Are you guys seeing more of one kv motor (ie.2050/1900) going bad over another?
I don't have the funds to carry a spare motor around right now "just in case". My other option is to get the esc and another brand motor but I like the idea of havng a sensored setup.I drove a castle 2650 and 2200 buggy and they were a bit overpowered so I am looking at the 1900kv on 4s.
I could just stick with nitro until this all gets fixed too but what fun would that be?
Thanks for any help.

TRUTH, I run a T8 1400Kv in my MBX6 with these packs:

http://www.rcdude.com/servlet/the-13...X--dsh-/Detail

I can get 15 minutes at all but the biggest tracks (with a 21V cutoff) & the pack cost $125 & weighs 405 Grams. Charges fast & never gets hot. My car comes in at 7lbs, 4 too 6oz (depending on tire selection). After a 5 minute heat with a couple of minutes of warm up I will put between 900 & 1000mA back into the pack.

At first I did, but after I got it repaired I've put 40 4S 5000mah packs through it within a two weeks and it still running strong. My only issue I have is the fan, all my blades are gone LOL. Waiting for a replacement one.

Yea I guess thats what I am worried about. Sort of makes me wish Tekin had an answer for us that they found all the bad ones. (like, manufacture # xxx through xxx are bad just send them back) Guess it's going to be a gamble if I get a good one or not. I would hate making the jump only to have my 1st or
2nd outing run short due to a motor problem. I don't think my nitro buds would let me live that down.

Yea thats why I am making the jump.
It's just that I have a few extra nitro motors. Until I get geared up with the
brushless stuff it's going to be a rough weekend.
If it breaks I am stuck.
Trust me, they have been ribbing me for two weeks now after I told tham I was "crossing over".
