The buggy motor can assembly is 71mm long(including 2mm of sensor recepticol sticking out the back), with shaft it is approx 89.4mm in length.

The Truggy motor can is 78mm long (including 2mm of sensor recepticol sticking out the back), with shaft it is approx 96.6mm in length.

before

after

new style rotor

since glued back rotors work ok, I wanted to put together rotor that came totally apart.

we will have couple guys with new tekin motors without the new style rotor and i want to have couple backup rotor ready for them if theirs fail and I think they will as so far 100% rotors failed (5 out of 5)

I hope the new style rotor can last as long my old neu rotor (2.5 years old) that survived even beating with a hammer when i was trying to remove stuck pinion

Well, my RX8 ESC gave up the ghost today during practice. No smoke, no flames, just no power to the motor. No LEDs lighting up either. Still have BEC power to the receiver and steering. I'm thinking that having it solidly mounted to the chassis behind the battery tray just physically beat it to death until something mechanically failed on the circuit board inside. Ordered a new one from Amain today to gaurantee having one for next weekend, and I'll send the old one back to Tekin later this week for replacement. Back to mounting the ESC on a plate behind the center diff, on some more shock mounted foam. I'd say these ESCs should be potted inside, but then they'd be disposable and non-repairable by Tekin. Not to mention the extra weight and heat dissapation issues.

Default first drive RX8

I must say I am impressed with the RX8. This is my first time driving it after nitro and IT was sweet. I ran 50/16 in the rc8te with 2000kv and the tires were ballooning. I guess I need to do some adjustments. Much props to Tekin and i am glad I left the nitro world.
