How many years have nitro motors been running now... they still cant make thm so they can't/won't fail. Thge slightest thing goes wrong and your engine is toast. I cant tell you how many $300+ nitro motors Ive seen fail during the course of a season. We had one guy go through 4 of them in one summer race season last year.

Lets not set unreasonable expectaions. Yes, most of the Tekin motor issues so far have been "start up" pains and issues they are quickly addressing and fixing. The few ESC failures that have been seen so far are still far fewer than what is typical in my experience with nitro engines and certainly dont seem to be any more frequent than the esc failures in 1/10.

I personally dont think its possible to build something that CAN NOT fail. Anything can fail with the right conditions.

Actually, why don't you chill out. This was resolved pages ago.

BTW....repremandable??? Not only is that not a valid form of the word repremand, but it just flat out makes no sense. Perhaps you meant reputable? What grade are you in anyway?

OK Everybody...Just lay off Hlpressley. He got a little worked up, posted some strong words, and has long since said the issue was squared away. Sounds like he's even looking forward to still running the Tekin system. Let's just move on.

I just got my Rx8 2050 combo and will be installing it tonight to race tomorrow. I'm running a D8 and will be loving getting to race this weekend because I missed 2 races already. I'll post tomorrow night on the feel of the system and any other questions I may have after the race.

Just remember if you encounter failure that even NASA has failure now and then.

Your gonna love the brushless D8. Everyone knocks the D8 for being heavy, but when you got instant power and loads of it, you'll be the one laughing as you go around everyone in the rough sections where the D8 really shines!

I ran the 2050 this weekend on a smaller track, ran stock gearing 48/16 and it worked quite well, I am gonna try going down to a 15 pinon. Might throw a 1900kv in there also. BTW I run Randy's 2050 Hotwire setup, works very well!

Thanks man. You are right I did allow my disappointment to get the best of me and lead to some anger but have since moved on and I do look forward to running the Tekin system when my new rotor arrives. Thanks again for understanding avrcguy.

Thanks for the tip yzracer, I will have to try to find Randy's setup to try. I bought the hotwire as well so I need to try to figure it out to. Most of all I'm just ready to get the D8 dirty it looks to pretty all clean. I was thinking of trying a 18 tooth pinion. You can see our track if you search on youtube under midamerica offroad or midamerica hobbies you will also be able to see some races.
