Hello, I'm new to RC and the forum.

I have the first of many questions to come, I'm sure! For my first RC car, I picked up a Losi 1/18 Mini Monstor Baja. My question is what affect will changing the pinion gears have on the drivetrain, motor, electronics, etc. I was wanting to slow it down a bit inside the house, it's just too cold out for me LOL. I was thinking of a pinion gear with less teeth. I can see a pinion gear with more teeth putting more stress on the drivetrain, and motor. But I would think less teeth would just slow it down with no other ill effects.

more teeth=more top end speeds warmer motor.
less teeth=less top end speeds, more acceleration cooler motor

You could stick something behind the throttle trigger to it cant reach full speed.

Velcome to ze forumz.

Trim?

Welcome to the hobby! Lots of good people! Not familiar with the radio this one comes with. Is there throttle trim that can be used to slow it down?
