I have mixed feelings on it. It reminds me of when plasma tvs, etc.... showed up at Sam's, Walmart, etc... and 5 years later, the specialty stores like Circuit City, Ultimate Electronics, Tweeter, Sound Advice, etc..... all died or are dying.

I think it could have a massive impact on the future of the local hobby store because a company like pep boys could care less if they sell rc cars or not and that means that they do not care about price point, etc.....

thats an exciting move for rc.. i wonder in there involvement stems from traxxas' involvement with monster trucks?

its not gonna change much when you buy it you still have to go to the hobbyshop to get a charger and batteries and other junk that pepboys wont have. if anything most people that have any clue about rc just wont even bother with pepboys and save themselves a trip and just go to the hobby store.

I feel bad for the parent who buys this for their kid. (from Pep Boys)

Do you get free rotation and balance with a new set of tires?
