Default E-Revo Brushless Batteries

I'm new to electric. I've always had nitro trucks. I requested an e-revo for Christmas and my wife got it for me. I sold one of my nitro trucks and now have money for brushless conversion and lipo's. I'm getting the Mamba Monster brushless and ESC but have no idea what lipo's to get. I know I want to get 4 and can't afford to pay $500 for a set. I want something good that will give me the most out of the brushless setup and will last a good amount of time. I think I can swing about $150 a piece at most. There are so many options. What should I get. Please set me straight so I don't waste a bunch of money on junk. THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!!!

Happy Holidays

Enerland cells are the best on the market. Pat at RC Lipos has free shipping too.

Thanks for the link. Which batteries on that link would be the best?

The 7.4V 5000mAh? for $109.99?

If you were willing to, you could run venom lipo 3s 4000mah, they are about 109.99 on there website, they are good batteries, i run 5400mah 3s.The charger would be about 100 dollars at your local hobby shop.Depending on what brushless system you are running, you could probably get 50-55mph out of it.

The CC MMM Combo runs really well on 4S lipo. Use a pr of 2S lipos and wire them in series for a 4S combined pac. The pr of batts will also balance better on the chassis than a single 4S will. They still have to fit the batt compartments and pretty sure 2S 5000mah will fit with no probs.

The cost of lipo is partly driven by the cell quality and any matching thats doe when they are assembled. Enerland and Kokam are prob teh best qualit lipo out there and they cost a little more up front. But they perform better, run longer, stay in balance longer and stand up to abuse (hopefully accidental) better than the cheaper quality cells do. SOme of the lipo coming from China do amazingly well for their cost (Zippys from HobbyCity), but I try yo stay with namebrand ones. I have a pr of NeuEnergy 2S 5000mah and they've been awesome.

This is a pretty good FAq on E-Revo and its worth a few min to provide some background and maybe answer some ques -
