The S offers some trick telemetry stuff and holds 10 models
The R is supposed to have a cleaner faster signal and hold 30 models.
The R goes for about $50 more. I went with the S
The signal speed is suppose to be the same. I have not heard that it is any different. The S has a lower amount of model memory and a couple less features from the R. The price is also more than $50.00, the R at my lhs is $320.00 the S is like $240.00.

Either one is made for a racer in mind. Depends on how much you want to spend and what features you need. The S at my lhs comes with 2 receivers. Hope that my information helps.

3s is 214.95 to be exact...a damn good price. I bought one but won't be able to use it until christmas day. If your running offroad, i've been told the dsm2 tech isnt going to play a huge role. Onroad, maybe....but it's like a millisecond difference....you didn't need that extra .0050 second before did you?
The S has a remote start button wwhich pretty much tells you its more of a hobbiest type of thing. Not that its a big feature for this fourm lol
I had to look that up!
RS Port
The RS Port function allows the Remote Start feature
(available in the future on remote start compatible
vehicles) to be enabled on either the Bind port or
Auxiliary channel port of the SR3300T using the
Remote Start Button.

This pretty much says it all. If you're racing off road, you likely would never know the difference in speed of DSM vs DSM2. You would, however, know your motor is overheating sooner with Telemetry.
