Anything over 4500 mAh should be fine. IB4600, EP4600, Elite 5000 and so on. You can have a 7cell of Elite 5000's built by www.cheapbatterypacks.com for under $60. Higher mAh = more runtime. And the elites can handle the higher Amps of the 7700.

For kicks, I went threw the selector using Elite 5000's, 12 guage wire and a deans connector and got 40.25$ before shipping

Is there a choice at CBP.com to build it with a Traxxas connector? Id rather have them do it than re-do it later. Sure, you can cut - one lead at a time, though! - and install your own connector. A 7-cell 5000 should make the motor really run hard.
