HI,
I am wondering if my mamba max 7700 should be doing wheelies
here are the configurations btw it is in a xl-5 rustler

Battery ( EP 4200)
Tires ( Anaconda)
TRX plug
18/86 gearing

Yes to whatever car it's in. I'm still not sure what Castle was thinking letting us normal people have that much power. LOL. Seriously, the 7700 is a ton of motor. Good luck with it. I wish I had one.

Not if it is in like a 1/8th scale or emaxx etc

But the fastest one that MM makes is the 5700 BUT only when using 3s lipo

If it is a 2wd first how looseis your slipper and what condition are the batts in?

yes you can adjust your slipper, if and only if your diff is tight.
but if you bought it new you should be able to go play with the esc settings on your computer, since your posting here im sure you have a good connection,
go to castlecreations.com and download their latest version of castlelink and go from there. lots of different settings for this controller

what is a slipper and where is it?

the slipper is located on your spur gear, your spur gear is the large gear that your motor turns with its gear, called the pinion.

the slipper is a pad on your spur gear that acts as a kind of clutch

Well you put the motor in so you know there is a small gear on the motor and a large gear on the transmission RIGHT ??
In the middle of the big gear there is an adjustment for you slipper.
With the 7700 in it you should get a manual and lots of diff parts ASAP :lol:

the gearing you have.......
18 = is pinion
86 = spur
I don't know the traxxas stuff but on most 1/10 elec. the slipper is setup with the spur gear. their should be a spring and a 1/4 hex nut on the end where the spur is mounted to the tranny.
crank that nut down tight.
Now the problem is with a tight slipper, you are transferring all that power to the diff gear and the ball diff.(assuming this has a ball diff)
If you get this truck to hookup their will be a good chance you will slip your ball diff and have more problems.
(need to tighten your diff)
On losi and associated trucks their are ways to tighten up the diff externally with a screw that is inside of one of the drive cups coming out if the tranny. I don't know where yours would be....
if you have a similar screw tighten this up also. just be careful not to over tighten this and strip it.

you should see what a 7700 does in a B4. Your on the right track. Put your battery all the way forward. On your esc settings, set the punch control way down. You don't want full power from the start. As for the slipper adjust so you hear the squeal for about 12 inches. Either way you'll have to learn that just hitting the throttle won't work.My B4 would flip over from half to full with a 90t spur and a 16t pinion.

to add to what others have said, you want to make sure your tires have sufficient traction to bite into the surface to pop a wheelie. some of the cheaper RTR style tires compounds are hard enough that you can easily break them free from the surface and squeel them, but not wheelie with a full hard throttle pull.

For those type of tires, its actually easier to pop a wheelie in a surface like really low cut grass as they bite really well. Just remember tall grass running can be harder on your electronics.

The 7700 is a beast of a motor. Brushless in general is something too. crazy seeing my 1/8 pull a wheelie.
