Default Out of stock....and i'm looking again

I was going to get the novak sport 10.5 brushless setup but holidays i guess ran amainhobbies out of stock for them. I have seen the LRP name on the forums, so I went looking. Is the LRP A.I. Brushless Pro Reverse Digital ESC & Eraser Brushless Motor Combo (10.5T) a good combination ESC/Motor?

I dont want to spend over 180 before discount and I don't need any lower turn than a 10.5....

You can always check Tower Hobbies, it's my favorite on-line hobby shop. Been their customer for 15+ years and they always have great service and support. One time, I made a $2400+ purchase on just servos (yes, 18 servos that totalled over 2 grand ) and at the last minute, I didn't want the order since I forgot to use their promotion code (which saved me about $200 bucks total) and they cancelled it for me, no restocking fees, no cancellation fees, just spoke to a nice sales lady at Tower and had no problems.

Sometimes, I'd order stuff from them on Tuesday, and the stuff arrives on the following Thursday... They are fast, friendly, and reliable...

If you are considering castle's stuff, I really would reconsider on the mamba max instead of the sidewinder. You need to buy a dongle to connect the sidewinder to the PC, but with the MM, it directly connects to the PC via an included cable...

The sidewinder + dongle usually equals or closely equals a Mamba Max...

If you must buy a Novak brushless, check out Towers...

I really have no clue what to buy lol. I thought I was set on the novak, then came across the sidewinder which i heard was a very good motor/esc combo that could hang with the faster guys, being nothing really catches traction any lower than a 10.5, then what you said about the mamba.

can someone point me in the right direction for little money possible and not slack on quality? i know you get what you pay for, just trying to shop around and get the best deal during the holidays.

Hang on for a couple of weeks. Novak will release the Havoc/10.5 system. It is a sensored system with the best 10.5 motor on the market, for $150. It should be available in a couple of weeks. Can't beat the Novak stuff.

for starters its a xxxt-cr driven by dx3s and im racing on a club level. class is basically open mod as nothing catches traction any faster than a 10.5...but nothing higher is very competetive. so...i'll be racing to be short. also plan on running i believe its a JR 650 servo..

dump the 650M, look at another servo. hobbico digitals are great for less expensive servos that last in 2wd electric (bug or truck). dont skimp on ur bl, it'll pay later. max 4600 prolly due the trick and u can easily control it from a computer w/the software. its either that and bite the bullet of gettin a LRP speedo teamed with a trinity duo motor in the size u prefer.

I 2nd the suggestion to hang on for the Novak Havoc 10.5 system. The older Sport systems (XBR) are being replaced by the Havoc which is likely why amain is out of stock.
