It's ok, till the servo tape gets old. Last time i run it, I hit my real truck tire about 30 or so MPH and it spun three times, it knocked the esc loose and the battery got loose. I am considering getting RC-Monster to make a custom battery box for me.
I am also considering making a slight change, I want to try an rc10t gearbox run backwards (Like an X-6 setup). Might can get motor further back towards the rear and also move the battery back a bit, might get a slightly better weight distrubution.

Just whatever you need for battery placement. This is pretty obvious, but be sure to take your time lining up the motor mount. If the gears don't line up you'll chew up a lot of spurs. Especially if you're going to run a powerful set-up. Make sure you have the proper bit for aluminum too. It can be surprisingly tough. A drill press is ideal. I used a dremel, but you have to be more careful to make precise holes. Drill the back hole, install the mount, and then line up the front hole off of that. Don't try to do both at the same time unless you're very sure it's right.

65/16 I believe. It's whatever the Robinson steel spur was. I only had one 32pitch pinion in my whole arsenal so it wasn't much of a choice. I may go to a 14 though. I haven't run it enough yet to be certain. Haven't raced it. No racing around here right now.

Default Fly wheel hole

Haven't yet received my TC5 motor mount but i am worrying that the hole for the fly wheel is going to prevent me from attaching the mount. To late to change now so wish me tha best...

Cool project

I also think the T4 was the easy and logical way to go for a brushless/LiPo stadium but if you have a GT collecting dust, why not do the conversion.

To solve the battery pack problem, did you check for saddle packs? They are smaller and can by installed right in the middle of the truck.

Hi guys, names dirt.... Kinda seriously. Lol. Anyways, I tried to put up pics of mine but it won't let me until I post enough times. Got one with a 7700kv castle uncensored, mamba esc, saddle pack lipo at 4200mag 30c. Yea, she's fast. The gearing is 48 pitch at 81/23. Ran it once at home then raced that night. Needs suspension setups badly and mostly real tires. Mine are 4 years old. Got the car recently and converted it.

Anyway that an administrator can let me post URL links for pics?
