Maxamps NiMH batteries

I seen how much the maxamps batteries were and how low everyone rates them compared to orion, SMC, etc so I made a thread about it on another forum, HERE

Some funny comments:

We compared them to the standard non matched ep4600's that we sold. The cells were tested side by side and ours performed better. We don't do matching the whole matching deal destroys the cells life span and cell matching is slowly fading away as Li-Po's take over. Not to mention the market for matched cells is small.

Answer: Discharing them makes them last longer, and matching doesnt make them last lesser.

I can tell you from our testing that those other brands can't even match up to ours. Look I'm here to answer your questions not to defend our product. We have thousands of customers that do that daily for us. We offer the widest array of Li-Po's for the car market. Nobody else comes close. Just ask Novak, Traxxas, Castle Creations, Caster Raing USA, and Axial Racing. They all use our packs for one reason they need the best and they get it from us.

My Question: What kind of cells does maxamps use for their lipos?

Answer: Sorry company secret. Wouldn't want the competition to get what we have ya' know.

I answered you over at rcuniverse to the best of my ability, but are you running lipos or sub-c batteries? We have no experience with the sub-c batts in regards to the Caster line other than they fit and work fine, but are much more inconvenient compared to lipo....

When I ran 1/10 scale, I always bought the good name brand batteries and I took care of them because they were expensive. I have 2600 sets that still work great for my son's rustler (he is 5) and I have 3300s and 3600s that all work as they did new....But that doesn't say anything good or bad about maxamps other than you get what you pay for and what you do affects results.

So do you think the Maxamps battery (non-matched) will be a Energ 4600 Platinum matched battery which is $10 LESS? I dont think so.They were comparing it to the EP4600 nn matched which is about $45.
