I ordered one as well. How long did it take to get yours?

It will charge lipos at 1C (ie 3.8 amps for a 3800 mah pack). Its a little tricky to set up so read the manual. Once sep up its easy and no power supply needed. Never charged NiMh with it though so I dont know about that side.

The Onyx charges up to 7 amps , it has 10 battery memorys.
You can use the standard 1c charge that it defaults to when you
pick the lipo set up or you can over ride it and put above the 1c
limit if you like in the memory setting for the battery type you are doing.
It also charges a123 batterys. I have used mine for charging
Orion 3200, Trinity 3800, and check point 5400 lipo batterys It has
never given me a problem. The thing is super quiet if you charge in a
apartment you would never hear it other than the alarm. The alarm
comes with 5 different tones that you pick. I charge my batterys
@ 1c because this gives the batterys the best life span.

www.bumpsandjumpsrc.com is selling this charger as part of a 'slash-pack' with the truck and a 4000mah lipo for 315bux. stupid cool deal. and every1 there who bought the package is pleased with the unit, and no PS to drag around. sounds like a win to me.

BTW, he might have 30trucks next wkend as the class continues to grow wk by wk. stock as a rock

Cool onyx 230 charger

There are alot of positive reviews which is great but is their something you don't like about the charge besides the intuitiveness? Im thinking of getting this w/balancer or the hyperion.

The only thing I didn't like about the 230 was the battery leads coming out of the side. Since I don't use them. I just opened up the case and unsoldered them. Made it a nice tidy little charger. I could'nt be happier.

Default Crap it is

Duratrax 230.

Had mine for just over a year now, Barely but frequently used. It still charges but I cannot setup or change any options, I can only charge the 10 battery types that I saved in the past. Computer or button is messed up ?.

I have another charger from the late 80's, Its been through hell & it still functions fine lol.
