Losi's are good.

xxx-cr
jr9100s
orion 3800 lipo or smc lipo
lrp sphere comp
novak BL motor
Losi pinion.
local track tires.

Dialed set-up. Maybe upgrade ballcups.

I would check out that dx3s first i ahve used the dx3r and it's good but i don't know about the S, Might not be as good and responsive.

Now you got it I personally like Associated but either brand associated or losi you will be happy with I would see which parts are more available at your local track or hobby shop just in case of carnage You will have people tell you to go with just one brand but either listed is Great hope this helps

The DX3S is faster then the pro module/rx , just not as fast as DSM2 . IMO I think it`s worth losing the DSM2 for the better features and telemtry .

Default losi

I have owned a xxx-cr buggy myself and i have nothing but a good time owning this buggy. it is extremely strong and it is very predictable to drive (even on rough tracks).

I got a B4, XXX Cr and T Cr. I personally love Losi but the b4 is a hell of a buggy too. Get a GTB with a 17.5 or 13.5, Futaba 3pm fast or Airtronics Mx-3 2.4. Futaba 3305 servo unless ya want more then get a futaba BLS451 which is the shit!

quit bragging the xxx-t cr is the greatest truck out here and doesnt even compare to the ft t4. the b4 though is much different. i think thats the all time best buggy from what ive seen. its your choice what to get a truck or buggy but i think buggies are much more fun to drive.

[QUOTE=RB FIVE;4966896]Losi's are good.

xxx-cr $250
jr9100s $130
orion 3800 lipo or smc lipo $99
lrp sphere comp $200????
novak BL motor $75
Losi pinion. $5
local track tires. $40

TOTAL= $800.00

Orion or Losi BL motors are prob. better. Go with the dx3r. Get this same gear regardless of AE or TL.

Naa novak is dialed. I have tried them all. I would stay away from the orions (I have 2) In terms of a 10.5,13.5 a novak cannot be beat. My orion '07 7.5 in my lazer has MOJO but the novaks are quieter and wind up nicely.

The losi motor is good too but has alittle less power. Very smooth.

the 2008 orion race motors sucked i have used both the 7.5 in my 4wd and a 10.5 in my friends rb5 and they just feel so dead and numb. Like a flat pack.

I prefer Losi Myself, but if you are on a budget, there are more B4 & T4 vehicles available used with spare parts than the CR vehicles due to the time they both have been on the market.....

I wish I would have listened closer when I bought all my stuff. Get the right stuff at the start and save yourself having to buy both.
