32 Pitch Gearing for Slash/Rusty
So you want to switch to 32P gears and not have to worry about "wobble" spurs? Well,
Here's How:
1. Go here and get the 48P and 32P Gearing Charts - http://www.rctek.com/info_gearing_charts.html
2. Check your current gearing....ie 90/18, which is 5.00 on the chart
3. Find a gearing that is close or exact on the 32P chart, which in this case would be 56/11
Then go buy a Jato 56 Spur: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXKLZ8&P=7
$2.89
And a Robinson 32P 11T Pinion: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXEW96&P=7
$3.69
4. Attach your current slipper clutch to the spur, connect the pinion, mesh em' up and your ready to roll.
Because the spur sticks out you will mount the pinion with the screw facing closest to the motor.
And they are just as quiet as well, with the proper mesh.
Now if you get gearing advice from people in 48P...just translate that to 32P with your charts. For Example: 86/23 = 56/15
