Default Battery Pack Quality???

I think these are great battery packs. I am unsure what the numbers mean.

I never knew what the numbers meant or really cared, those packs look good. nice work on building them.

I would love to take the credit for bulding these but I can't.

I bought these from Pro-Match. Seems like awesome customer service.

These will be ran in the Slash Spec Class with a 5000 Mah max 6 cell.

When I ordered I forgot to get them to put the leads on. I placed a order for 2 more packs and I also ordered the leads.

CHR is the amount they charged it, DIS is the amount they discharged it after they charged it, SEC is the runtime they got from discharging at 35 amps when they battery was full, AV must mean voltage, not sure about AR but I think it has to do with torque or power, forgot what the other ones were. Bascially what that matcher got from every cell.

So I guess I am kinda right. It is like Deans vs. Tamiya. People who had Tamiya and switched to Deans got more accelration and power. So I guess this would be the same?

No just less resistence but in some cases it makes a noticible difference in power.

No, here this is the cell's internal resistance, nothing to do with connectors.

All the numbers are from the matching process and I forget exactly what they mean, here's what I remember. SEC is the capacity of the cell in seconds, AV - avg voltage during discharge, AR is the cell resistance in mohms, DIS - discharge rate, CHG - charge rate, CTF - cutoff voltage and MOD is the date cell was matched.

Correct. When they say "matched", those numbers are what they try to match. 6 cells with a AV 1.238, SEC 0439 and AR 1.4 would mean those 6 cells are as close to being identical cells as possible....which means better performance. Also, the higher the AV and SEC numbers, the more run time and power you will get out of the cells.

So according to the numbers is this a good battery pack. I have 2 more matched packs on the way.

the unmatched pack will mostly be used for bashing.

Those are real good packs! i have bought 6 from them and have no problems. by the look of those numbers that is one of their platinum packs.

btw, you may have to bend one of the tabs to clear the battery strap, it looks like the battery end bar is very close to the cell which is how most people build packs. luckily when i built mine i built them with the battery end bar very far away from the cell so the battery strap fit beteen the cell and the battery end bar. clear as mud?

Yes, Promatch has an excellent product. According to those numbers you can expect to go like hell (at a discharge rate of 35 which you will never reach on a continuous basis) for around 7 - 10 minutes before you notice any drop off in performance.

promatch puts out good stuff and those are good cells. Those cells are cycled on some very expensive matching equipment inorder to acheive the maximum power from the cells. They should give you great punch.

Yup, great cells, with insane power dump! One thing to watch is that these cells tend to discharge unevenly in storage so you'll want to balance them if they're stored for more than a couple of weeks so they all peak at the same time or you'll end up with a hot one here and there...well worth the effort in my opinion. And ProMatch is great about replacing cells if they do die in the first couple of months.

Higher voltage # = more RPMs. Its surprising the extra speed a few hundredths or even thousanths of a volt per cell will provide when matched and peaked, especially on stock/19T motors.
Lower resistance (IR or AR) means faster power dump (more acceleration)
