Default motor upgrade for slash?

would like to upgrade the stock motor in my son's slash.
what motors would you recommend ?
not used to offroad rigs. i typically stay in the 19t range for our drifters and 12t in our touring.
also cant seem to find out how low of turn the stock speed control can handle

must be from towerhobbies website
(placing an order there allready)

thank you

stock esc is a 15turn limit, but the stock 12 is lacking from what i understand which is why the esc can handle it..

The Team Checkpoint, Money 19 Turn Spec Motor works outstanding in the Slash.

Yeah, the stock motor is called a "12turn" but it seriously lacks. Any good 27t ROAR stocker will blow it away.

The stcok ESC will handle it fine, my step-son runs the 19t Money in his Slash, it's a huge improvement over the stock motor.

mind you this is heresay but im told this "15 turn limit" is legit for a good 15 turn motor. so yes, it should hold the 19 turn just fine.
