LRP GT-3 Turbo 14x2
 

Just fitted this motor with a Futaba MC 330cr controller into my Kyosho Lazer ZX-5.
I tried pinion gears from 17 to 25 and each time the motor was too hot to touch after running for 1 minute with a cooling fan attached.
Battery was a 4600 intellect.

Running my Z-Zone modified 19T with a 23 pinion the temp is fine.
What I was trying to acheive was more punch out of turns and a little more top end.

Any way the LRP was cheap so no real problem however I am baffled that this motor on all occasions fried:confused::confused:

Any Ideas?

This is one of the big problems - super-cheap motors aren't up to much.
