Default NOVAK XBR Sport Brushless Speed Control

Has anyone used or is using this speed control and how do you like it. I am using brushed motors right now in a xxxt but eventually would like to go to brushless. I figured for right now I could use this esc since it can take both and then eventually switch to a 10.5 motor.I am also using NIMH batteries. Will this have any negatives also. Any feedback would be great.

I have a total of 6 XBR's. I run them in stock buggy, stock truck, mod buggy, mod truck, stock 1/12, and 19t(13.5) 1/12. I have had really good luck with the speedos. They say they are only good down to a 8.5, but I have ran a 7.5 light motor with them in mod truck and mod buggy without any problems. They work fine with Nimh's. I run Nimh 4 cell in both 1/12 cars with them and they work awesome.

I have one and run an 8.5 in mod truck with it. I have had no problems compared to my friends who have gone through several GTB's so it was cheaper and less prone to blowing up.

Default XBR

How about the Havok system. How does that compare to the XBR system? Major differences in XBR, Havoc and GTB'S?

The New Havok (old XBR) is simply updated a little with some throttle curve adjustments, but otherwise the same specs as the XBR. Its a great idea since it will cost $149 Tower, and probably cheaper at other places. I use a XBR and find it to be a solid ESC, no doubt the Havok will be the best buget BL system on the market.

The "street price" of the new Novak Havoc system is $139.99.

Default Havoc

Is the GTB system alot better than the Havoc sysytem? If so or if not, in what ways? Is it worth buying a refurbished GTB and a used SS motor to save money or a new Havoc system? I have looked at the Novak website and tried to compare them myself, I just don't know that much about electronics to determine how good each one is and the differences performance wise. If I can use the Havoc ESC with an SS motor, is that just as good as the GTB and SS motor? Thanks for replies
