4wd fronts on a 2wd buggy: Handling?
Question: What handling changes would one anticipate if running, say a 4wd front Taper Pin on a 2wd buggy, rather than the narrower 2wd front Taper Pin?

On my CR buggy it seems that the 4wd tapers (mounted on 2wd rims, stock foam) gave more turn in but would make the car hook a bit coming out of the turn--a bit more unpredictable. I would try to find steering from other places and stick with a 2wd taper and play with the foam width and type.

The biggest problem you are going to have running a wider front tire is that you will scrub off a lot of speed in every corner.... that is if they grab the type of track you are running on.
This is going to create a start and stop situation every time you turn. More heat to the motor and consistently slower lap times.
I wouldn't do it!
