Default Help me buy a good LiPo Charger

I'm sure this has been asked before, so sorry if this is old news.

I pretty much just have LiPo 2S 6000 packs, but want to cover the scope obviously.

I am leaning toward the Hyperion EOS 0606i Charger right now because of the bonehead proof way to use thier accompaning Balancer with it. Is this a good charger?

What do you have, or more importantly, recommend.

The turnigy one stallard reccomends is really good for like 50 bucks. Check it out. Maybe somebody has the link. My friend joe uses one and he loves it. It's so smal and does like every kind a battery including a123's I think it balnces too.

I have the Orion Carbon Advantage charger and I really like it. It does everything I need out of a charger. The only set-back with it is you are limited to a 2s lipo.

Everyone I see in my area runs an ICE for the most part. A factory Kyosho/Orion driver and I are the only one's with the Orion charger, maybe it's a sign?

Thunder power TP-610c. It's a little tricky to work initially, but I've got it down now. I can't think of a battery it doesn't charge. Has a lot of features for the price. $130.

I have all ICE chargers from duratrax, and they are really great and easy. The hyperion is reallly nice, but also very expensive. but usually, oyu get what you pay for.

I use the 0610iNet Hyperion for my lipos, a123s and the few NiMH packs I still have left. Awesome charger. Really nice to charge and balance at same time an simply be done with it and know lipo/a123 is pretty much as good as it can get. Had it since fall last year and wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

I also have an Ice and it would need separate balancer which the 0610i already has builtin. The hyperion does not discharge (except in balancing and then at only 300ma) and thats why I've hung onto my Ice, not ready to do away with that yet.

How about the duratrax Onyx 230 advanced charger.
It does all battery types and how its own power supply built
in to it. I myself use the Integy 16x8v6 love the unit has built in power
does discharging , cycling, and dyno for working and breaking in brushless motors. You can find them 2nd hand and a decent price($60 to 100) people either like this charger or hate it. I have used it for lipos, Nimh, without
problems and for breaking in 540j motors. The ices are common at the track I go to but it still needs a power supply. I want to try out the onyx for the price and looks compact enough for travelling to the track. I have 3 racers
in the family so need to make the most of the room in the transporter

Mark I got the Hyperion EOS1210i and I really like it, the 0606i came out right after I bought 1210i, I was kinda bummed, because it is AC/DC and has the balancer built in.

Oh well when I get some money saved up , I will probably buy a 0606i , so I can have two chargers.

I think the Hyperions chargers are the best.

Mark did you get that video I PMed you ?

I would recommend an iCharger 106B. You can get one for under $100 from HobbyCity.com.

It's feature packed, 180W max charge and 20W max discharge, max 10 amps charge, up to 6-series Lipos and can handle just about all chemistries (NiXX, LiXX, Pb). Has a built-in balancer (JST-XH sockets, you'll need balance adapter boards/cables for other plugs).

I'm loving mine.
