It's a great kit. Just build it like the directions say.

There probably isn't a current thread for the topic because the KE is about 5-6 years old, if I'm not mistaken. I quit the hobby just before I was about to buy one myself, but I recently got back into it and I think I'm going to pick one up next week. However I've been hearing good things about the B4 so we'll see what happens.

the xxx-ke is an old kit but it still seems to be quite good. Although TL's new kit XXX-4 looks even better if you are into 4 wheel drive.

The first production XXX kits were released to the public around this time in 1999, so that is considerably less than 5 or 6 years old (not the XX-CR KE). The XXX KE was actually released about two years ago, I think, and was the first in a series of 'signature' kits; (the Francis truck and Drake truck would follow). The XXX is the reigning IFMAR World Champion and is still a very competitive chassis.
The new XXX-4 is benefitting from several of the running upgrades that Team Losi has released over the past month, including revised shock towers that feature new geometry and improved durability.

Ah well there ya go, 5-6 did seem a bit long to me. I knew it was a little older though, I also know it is still an awesome kit.

I have been looking for a good electric off road to buy and I eventualy decided on the XXX-KE because of the fact that i comes with Hop-Ups in the kit, (and I am a losi fanatic)

... that's the thing, i like my XXX's G+ and i like losi better, but i'm so intriged with the B4, thats why i cant seem to decide on what to get, anyway, the kits aren't still available in my LHS, so still have a couple of days to think...

The differences between the B4 and the XXX are minimal. I'd recommend getting the car that most of the faster racers are using, that way you can share setups with them. Or get the one that your hobby shop has the most parts support for.
I'm also interested in the B4, but I won't be getting one, as I prefer Losi stuff over AE cars. Don't get me wrong, AE has great stuff, but I like the way Losi cars are designed a little more than AE's cars. Lots of the racers are buying the B4 just to try, but I'll stick with my XXX. If you're fast with one car, you'll be just as fast in the other car.

as for parts, no problem with either car...
... the XXX-KE has a good following on the local track... B4, maybe a couple...

I have a XXX-NT and am going to get a XXX-KE instead of the B4 mostly because I am really impressed with the design of the XXX-NT. The only problems I have had with the druck is the durability of the suspension which now is mostly graphite, the cool thing is that the XXX-KE comes with a full graphite suspension.
