Default XXX-T Super Stock Truck Gearing 10.5?

What's a good gearing range for a xxx-t 10.5 novak? 82/21 feels good overall. Am I missing a better gearing set up? Let me know.

Post what you're running!

thanks

Too low!....go up about 3 or 4 teeth on the pinion. Monitor the temps if you can after about 5 minutes....I run 24 tooth in 100 deg heat with no issues at all....Our track races are 8 minutes. In fact I am sure I could go up another few if I wanted to.

I have the SS 8.5 in my B4 and it is geared 23/81 and that is still too low.

Wow, up 3 or 4 teeth! I'll pick up some bigger pinions tomorrow. What spur gear are you running with the 24 tooth? thx

30/82 flies and doesn't thermal in 90+ degree outdoor use from what I've seen. I have to pick up a 30 because I'm currently running 24/82 and not breaking 140 on the motor. Plenty left.

I tried 82/21 the other night and seemed good . I`ll try moving up on the pinion next week .
