I've never driven novice, although I have marshalled for them. Like I said, that's where the beginners race. So if you have the confidence, go for Amateur!

That's cool. Give it a try, and if it's too easy, move up. In novice, anything goes with buggies and trucks running together, even the Losi DT.

Off-road, I'm currently racing an RB5, T4, and Slash.

The Slash is my first Traxxas and I know you think it's very beginner-ish (and it is somewhat), but it's still tons of fun!

I just wanted to know if you had a Losi so I could have some setup tips for the OCRC track. Do you know anybody who has a xxx-t that goes there on this forum?

Ah, young grasshoppa, you are ready to post in other threads like the ones for OCRC and the XXX-T.

I know F N CUDA goes to OCRC and runs Losi. If you can, just go out there and see who's running Losi and ask them.

Good luck!

Well I didnt mean maintence free diffs as no maintence but alot less than ball diffs where you keep having to clean them u and replacing the diff screw all the time. He said once he started reading about the DT, the more he liked it. Would that be a good racer with a change of tires. Not like aa top of the line one like a xxxt cr, but enough to keep up at the track?
Associated makes some of the best ball diffs in the business. They last quite a bit longer between rebuilds than other brands. When you rebuild a ball diff usually you only replace the diff rings, diff balls, and thrust bearing assembly. I have never had a diff screw go bad. If you are having to replace you diff screw maybe try not overtorqueing the diff. It does not need to be that tight.

No, not yet at least. He has to have to money before he buys it.

He should get it in September or later.

Thumbs up

Alright! That means we've got at least a couple of more months of these discussions.

Actually , Bfast has the best .

I`ve never had a diff screw go bad either , in my Losi cars/trucks . Chris doesn`t know how to properly build and setup a diff . Which is why he has so many problems .
