Default ESC Question

I have ordered a CC Monster Max ESC for my 1/8th truggy with a 1515 1Y motor. I understand that they are now backordered even longer, somewhere around six weeks now. Could anyone tell me if a regular Mamba Max could run my truggy on 5S 5000Mah and a NEU 1515 1Y motor as a stop-gap solution? If not, what ESC could do this until my Monster Max comes in?

Edit: I forgot to add that I will be using mechanical brakes with my TeknoRC conversion. So that should help out the ESC a bit. I've also google'd and got some hits on people running 5S on Mamba Max successfully. Anywhere here done it?

Good news Vega

I just ran my Losi 8T with a 1515/1Y geared 13/46 on a 5s 4350pack. This was with a Modded Mamba Max it ran perfectly. The caps got a little warmer than normal. After a 10 min. run in my back yard in the high grass the ESC was 119* and the motor was 128*
