Associated hired Losi's top design engineer.
Losi Jr went to KyoshoUSA.
There are no more main player Losi people at Losi.

Wheelbase X Width

Slash: 335mm X 296mm
RC8: 298mm X 305mm
B44: 280mm X 250mm

Perhaps the new Associated CORR truck will be an electric version of their RC8 with a truck body!

The claimed scales of many R/C vehicles are not correct.

You might want to change the word "many" to ANY

selling my slash and willing to wait for the AE CORR Truck
too much drama, unfriendliness, and whining in the slasher/basher thread

CORR lists Pro4 wheelbase as 113"min 122" max, the slash is 13.2", slayer 12.7 so I would say the slayer is pretty close to 1/10.
Traxxas sponsors Toyota's, so compared to the Toyota Pro 4 dimensions, the Slash/Slayer is 1/9 scale in overall length and wheelbase, but 1/8 scale in overall width/track, and I would say height too.

So from the front it's all 1/8 scale. Although it would have to grow in lenth about 3 inches to be true to 1/8 scale to its Toyota counterpart. I guess if you consider that the wheelbase is only 1-1.5 inch short of the min Pro4 CORR spec wheelbase from a 1/8 scale perspective, I think you could argue that the Slash/Slayer is more equivalent to 1/8 scale CORR truck overall.

FYI

Toyota Pro4 Specs (in):
WB: 116
L: 204
W: 92
H: 65
T: 90F, 92R

Slayer {Slash} Specs (in)
WB: 12.7 {13.2}
L: 22.36
W: 11.65
H: 8.43 {8.15}
T: 11.65F, 11.65R

Not that it makes much of a difference, but only the Pro-Lite is a Toyota.

The Pro-2 and Pro-4 Traxxas trucks are both Fords.

1/8th scale buggy tires would be a pretty awsome fit too now wouldn't they?

I don't think they would look right on a CORR truck

Maybe that's why Proline didn't release a body for the Slash this month...they were busy working on an adapted 8th scale tire to work for it.
