I hope Associated makes an electric 1/8 scale CORR truck...this would be a good opportunity to launch the 1/8 scale electric market as opposed to doing nitro to electric conversions.

I think the Slash is nearly 1/8 scale size...it looks bigger than 1/10 buggies but that could be just the big body. I guess I'll look up the wheelbases of the Slash, 1/8 scale buggies and 1/10 scale buggies to compare.

The AE truck was not intended to be a copy of the Slash or Slayer. Development of these was apparently happening simultaneously so you are going to see two differing visions of what a R/C CORR truck should look like and how it should perform. Whether or not they run together is up to the racers and organizers.
Rick got BUSTED!

I agree, a electric 1/8 CORR would be awsome!!!

CORR lists Pro4 wheelbase as 113"min 122" max, the slash is 13.2", slayer 12.7 so I would say the slayer is pretty close to 1/10.

I measured and compared my Slash to my Jammin' 1/8 buggy. Track width is almost identical and the Slash wheelbase is about 1/2" LONGER.

Honestly, I don't much mind waiting for a new Associated chassis to be released. Seems to me while a lot of people ~cough~ Losi people ~cough~ chew out the A-Team for postponing release dates, when the truck does finally hit store shelves it's way better than what was rushed into the market to catch the wave of demand. Look at the Mini-T vs. RC18T, or the iteration of the XXX-T that came before the RC10T4.

However I WOULD at least like to know exactly what it was I'm waiting for

Can't be, I'm from Wisconsin.

We don't have winter, spring, summer, and fall, we have Winter, Road Construction, Earwigs & Mosquitos, and More Winter.

That would be pretty cool for it to be electric based 1/8 scale.

The slash is pretty big, and not just the body.

Doh, man what a tease. I can't wait to see more pictures. I have always been a huge fan of associated. Thanks for the many years of great happiness.
