With new thrust, rings, big balls and small balls how should a diff feel when turning it very slowly? Its hard to explain, it is very smooth, just a little roughness when turning slow, but not clicky type roughness.
With the drill I did gradually tighten, then when it was starting to not be able to tighten anymore I backed it off a 1/4 and tried to spin the diff gear. When its in the car I will probably see how the other method feels and compare the setting.

It may be too tight, that can make it feel a little rough.
Once you have the diff just snug enough where the gear will not turn while holding the outdrives, it should only take a about a 1/4 turn more (in steps) while breaking in. Should try not to get to the "starting to not be able to tighten anymore" stage.
Should be fine, don't forget the slipper!
Classic RC Raceways in Akron is now a B-FAST dealer. Steve has an excellent facility and we are honored to have our products on the wall.
We are looking for other dealers and wish to start with race tracks with on site hobby shops. Please PM here or email us at bfastrc@aol.com if you would like to receive information on the B-FAST dealer program. To control our growth and ensure our excellent customer service record we are offering this to a limited number of dealers at this time.
Headed to McCullough's for their Halloween Race tomorrow.
Great group of people there and a real nice facility too. http://www.mcculloughsrcracing.com/

Your PMs and emails may be a little slow getting a response this weekend.
For the next couple of days B-Fast will be involved with the Winter Classic taking place at Classic R/C Raceways in Akron Ohio.
B-Fast will be very well represented on the track by about a dozen team drivers including Brian Kinwald (so nice I have to type it twice, Brian Kinwald) and many of our loyal customers and friends.
Check this place out!! www.classicrcraceways.com
